ATEC Named Large Training Provider of the Year Finalist for Fourth Consecutive Year

The Adelaide Training and Employment Centre (ATEC) has once again been recognised as one of South Australia's leading vocational education providers, securing finalist status in the 2026 South Australian Training Awards in the Large Training Provider of the Year category.

This marks ATEC's fourth consecutive year as a finalist in the prestigious category, reflecting the organisation's sustained commitment to excellence in vocational education and training.

The Large Training Provider of the Year Award recognises registered training organisations that demonstrate outstanding performance across all aspects of vocational education and training, including industry engagement, innovation, learner outcomes and organisational excellence.

ATEC CEO Greg Bassani OAM said achieving finalist status for a fourth consecutive year was an outstanding endorsement of the organisation's long-term commitment to quality training and continuous improvement.

"To once again be recognised as a finalist—and for the fourth consecutive year—is an incredible honour for ATEC," Mr Bassani said.

"Consistency at this level doesn't happen by chance. It reflects the dedication of our trainers, assessors, field officers, support staff, apprentices and host employers, who all share a commitment to delivering outstanding training outcomes."

For almost fourdecades, ATEC has partnered with industry to deliver practical, high-quality apprenticeship and workforce training across South Australia. Today, the not-for-profit organisation supports more than 1,500 apprentices through its Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Group Training Organisation (GTO) operations.

During the past 12 months, ATEC has continued to invest in innovation and industry collaboration, including the launch of its Engineered for Excellence initiative to strengthen the future pipeline of engineering apprentices. The organisation has also continued to expand opportunities across the construction and electrotechnology sectors while investing in strategic projects to improve apprentice engagement, retention and workforce outcomes.

"Being recognised as a finalist year after year reinforces that our commitment to industry-led training, innovation and continuous improvement is delivering real value for apprentices, employers and South Australia," Mr Bassani said.

"Our purpose has always been to change people's lives through vocational education. Every apprentice who completes their qualification strengthens not only their own future but also the industries and communities that rely on a skilled workforce."

The winners of the 2026 South Australian Training Awards will be announced at the gala presentation on 11 September 2026.
