ATEC Sponsors SASVA Team in 2025 World Solar Challenge

Posted on August 06, 2025
ATEC is proud to sponsor the South Australian Solar Vehicle Association (SASVA) Team as they prepare to compete in the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, the world’s most prestigious solar vehicle competition. As part of our partnership with the team, we were delighted to host their official farewell event at ATEC Ottoway, in our very own Pat’s Café.
ATEC CEO Greg Bassani OAM delivered a speech on the night, recognising the innovation and determination behind the project. Project leads Mark Ready and James Trezona also shared their journey, highlighting the months of design, engineering, and testing that have gone into building South Australia’s entry into this international challenge.
Held every two years, the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is a 3,070 km journey from Darwin to Adelaide, where teams from across the globe race solar-powered vehicles across the Australian outback. The 2025 event, running from August 24 to 31, will place greater emphasis on energy efficiency due to reduced winter sunlight, making the challenge even more demanding and technologically exciting.
ATEC is proud to back this future-focused initiative and support the next generation of thinkers, engineers, and innovators. We wish the SASVA team the very best as they represent South Australia and push the boundaries of sustainable transport on a global stage.
