ATEC Welcomes Adelaide South Local Jobs Network to Lonsdale Campus

ATEC was pleased to host members of the Adelaide South Local Jobs Network at its Lonsdale campus on Wednesday, 24 June, for the network's monthly provider briefing.

The event brought together workforce recruitment, employment and training providers from across the region, providing an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, share industry knowledge and explore collaborative approaches to improving employment outcomes.

The briefing featured presentations from guest speakers representing a range of organisations, including Mary-Jo Amos from Warner Institute, Melissa Barnett from Strategix SA, Sarah Telford from genU Training and Samuel Weightman from The Paradigm Collective, who shared valuable insights into workforce development and employment initiatives.

Leanne Hill also provided an overview of upcoming initiatives that will support the Adelaide South Local Jobs Plan and continue to strengthen employment opportunities across Adelaide's southern region.

Attendees were invited to tour ATEC's Lonsdale training facility, led by Phillip Handstock, showcasing the centre's industry-standard training environments and the practical skills development taking place across a range of trades. Damien Pawson also hosted the event, highlighting ATEC's ongoing commitment to working alongside industry to develop a skilled and job-ready workforce.

The event reinforced the importance of collaboration between employment services, training providers and industry in creating meaningful pathways into work.
