Engineered for Excellence Continues Regional Careers Expo Tour Across SA

The Engineered for Excellence team has had a strong start to the regional careers expo season, recently attending the Limestone Coast Jobs, Skills & Career Showcase in Mount Gambier, the Kadina Careers Expo at the Copper Coast Sport & Leisure Centre, and the Northern Areas Careers Expo in Port Pirie.

Across the events, the team connected with a large number of students, job seekers and community members interested in exploring careers in Mechanical Engineering and Fabrication, generating strong engagement and registrations of interest for apprenticeship pathways and training opportunities.

The expos have provided a valuable opportunity to showcase what a future in the engineering trades can look like, with attendees taking part in VR welding demonstrations, learning more about apprenticeship pathways and speaking with the team about career opportunities within the industry.

While travelling throughout the regions, the team has also been strengthening connections with local industry, meeting with businesses including Vennings and Kingsway Welding, proud host employer of ATEC’s 2026 Welder of the Year, Sidney Norris.

Over the coming weeks, the Engineered for Excellence team will continue travelling across regional South Australia as part of the ongoing expo circuit, providing hands-on insights, career advice and pathways into engineering and fabrication careers.
