Hazardous Manual Tasks

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to undertake a range of manual handling tasks safely to reduce the risk of injury to yourself and others. Suitable for all workers involved in Manual Handling tasks in the health care sector.

  • 1 day/3.5 hours (Face to Face) 11:00am to 2:30pm


  • Practical Assessment

Entry Requirements

Participants MUST:

  • Have the physical ability to perform specific practical skills such as repositioning a person with a slide sheet and manoeuvring a mechanical lifter with a person in it.

Course Fees

  • $85.00 AUD (GST exempt)

Courses must be paid for on booking unless alternative arrangements have been made. Training will not be confirmed until payment has been received


  • Identify manual tasks involving risk
  • Prepare for manual tasks
  • Complete manual tasks

Learner Requirements

  • Provision of Australian legal photo identification for enrolment purposes.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Supplied by ATEC, please wear:

  • Suitable modest attire; and
  • Closed in shoes


On successful completion of all requirements of this course, learners will be issued with:

  1. A Certificate of Attendance
