Perform rescue from a live LV panel

Incorporating HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to manage the danger of accidental electric shock. This course applies to all electrical workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a situation that can arise in an electrical services industry environment, including rescue from low voltage panels.

  • 8 hour face to face theory and practical demonstration and assessment
    8am-4:30pm

  • Theory Assessment
  • Practical Assessment

Entry Requirements

Participants MUST:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Be an Australian/New Zealand Citizen or hold an eligible VISA
  • Have the ability to read, write, understand and communicate with basic English.
  • Have the physical ability to perform specific practical skills such as performing two (2) minutes of uninterrupted cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.
  • The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace subject to regulations for undertaking of electrical work.

Course Fees

  • $175.00 AUD (GST exempt)
  • $45 AUD (GST exempt) with a valid CITB number

Learner Requirements

  • Provide your Unique Student Identifier (USI). Apply for a USI
  • Provision of Australian legal photo identification for enrolment purposes.

Pre-requisite Unit

HLTAID009- Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

(Must be signed off before commencement of UETDRRF004 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel)

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Supplied by ATEC, please wear:

  • Suitable modest attire; and
  • Closed in shoes

Outcome

On successful completion of all requirements of this course, learners will be issued with:

  1. A Statement of Attainment for UETDRRF004 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel
  2. A Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
